it?
(Nelscat) – My Stage name is Mr-Nelscat it all came out being a Nelspruit Mcees so I took out da “Nel” from Nelspruit , n Cat we all know is some1 involve in Hiphop n rap music some1 got flow, hv battle, writes hez own lyrics got ill mad bars ,yea dats how I came up wit da Name : NelsCat
Q: how is Hip-hop different now compared to when you were in your High School days? When did you realise you had a gift of writing lyrics?
Nelscat -hiphop now is all bout swag, cars , jewelry, cash, it aint based on lyrical content anymore, it aint like back then when u had to have mad bars to sell n 4 da audience to feel u, hiphop u can put out some garbage shit n sell unit “e.g 2chain – I’m different” I mean would u listen to dat shit if it came out 1999 ? Nah ! Bt now its out there every1 is loving n its still hiphop. I mean at da end of the day its solely depends on one’s taste as every genre keeps evolving years by years according to the taste of targeted audience. But I still miss hiphop dat was based on story telling n all that positive message used to have
I think it all started when I realized I could rap along to so many hiphop songs I knew all da lyrics of da top.. So I started writing my own sh1t
Q: I Once came to your Studio about a year ago, there was about 10 + rappers in there; it was mad hyped up. Tell us how its like working with a lot of talented mcees & how you’ve managed to sustain your skill with so much Healthy competition around you.
Nelscat – {Laughes} oh yea I remember da day it was me, m.o monate , Mgongo, afgun, mkay , c-glamour, manola n em… See I dnt knw how to put it bt when we in there all 2getha its like competition I dnt knw da right way to put it bt its if there a hot beat we’ll all jump into it like da every1 in there n we’ll chop out all da weakest verses so if a track needs only 3verses we’ll choose da best 3.. N doing dat every1 makes show dat every time he get on a beat he spits out hez hottest bars we dnt get in the booth n play games. N wit me dawg I think most of the time I came out 2nd best, having Mgongo around he used to kill everything
Q: where do you find the Inspiration to write such sick bars?
Nelscat – I listen to a lot of hiphop music old school, n new underground artist I also watch battle rap “URL” Murda Mook , Loaded Lux … N oh yea lol you can blame it to Alcohol n bitches around me coz most of da time I rap bout the things I do n things happening round me
Q: F-Eezy ,Siya Shezi, MT, Zakwe or Prokid ? Which one do you think is tighter & why do you say so.
Nelscat -I don’t listen to any of em, if it was back 2009 I’d say Prokid bt na I think he fell of or hez lazy ..
Q: word is you’ve been working on your Mixtape/Album, a lot of anticipated supporters have been asking about it. On their behalf, when is the Mixtape/Album dropping?
Nelscat – oh yea its a Skullx (Nelscat n M.O Monate) mixtape its a crew thing , we still in da booth cooking bt I believe it will be out Late April or early May
Q: Which producers & artists have you worked with on it, how was the experience? (How many tracks, Track list…etc)
Nelscat – on production I worked with Vaido , Dj Crazy , Tpz , Dollar P, Scandalous, n Power of One Flow Entertainment, Artist we got Manola in it , Noxy, Pedro Kanill, Nathi da vocalist we hvnt put in so many features in it, Da experience was is crazy nje from where u can’t choose anymore which one is da best track of em all coz they all hot !

Nelscat – DONT FUCK WITH ME !! {Laughs} jst kidding.. Uhm I’m tynna show da youngerns out there that hiphop aint all about swinging your hands ,dancing looking all gays with yellow pants on nah , hiphop its still bwt da Bars, Punchlines , creativity , story telling … Don’t mess up da culture
